Finance Manager

About the role

Adient is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial planning and analysis for one of its manufacturing sites. The role will support profit planning, cost control, and strategic investment decisions while ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the annual profit plan and monthly outlooks, monitoring material margin, conversion cost, inventories, CAPEX, and cash flow.
• Analyze month‑end results, explain variances versus plan, and highlight potential financial issues.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives with financial calculations and validation of achievements.
• Coordinate balance‑sheet audits, internal controls, BOS and SOX compliance for the designated plant.
• Assist in rollout of new processes and systems, and cooperate with commercial units on quoting and program profitability analysis.
• Prepare capital investment requests, validate paybacks, and develop ad‑hoc financial models.
• Track statistical reporting across departments and collaborate with the Country Finance Service Center on statutory submissions.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong analytical ability with experience in deep‑dive data analysis and financial KPI monitoring.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (high‑level efficiency).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access (advantage).
• Experience with SAP FI/CO modules.
• Familiarity with Hyperion (advantage).
• Understanding of accounting and financial reporting regulations, including SOX compliance.
