Senior Data Governance Technology Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Technology Consultant to join our technology strategy team. You will advise clients across financial services, energy, insurance and manufacturing on designing, implementing and operating modern data governance programmes throughout the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Define data governance strategies, select appropriate tools and design data quality frameworks.
• Configure and customise platforms such as Informatica, Collibra or Attacama, including metadata management and rule authoring.
• Integrate third‑party APIs using RESTful services, handling JSON/XML, OAuth, API keys or JWT.
• Develop and execute data quality, data cataloguing and lineage solutions for data warehouses, data lakes and BI environments.
• Produce client‑facing artefacts – requirements, design specifications, technical reports and executive presentations.
• Engage with C‑level executives, data stewards and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with data in a business or technical role.
• Strategic, analytical mindset with ability to structure ambiguous problems.
• Strong communication skills in English (advanced written and spoken).
• Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum or Kanban) is a plus.

Required skills

• Informatica (on‑premise or cloud) configuration, metadata management, data quality rule authoring.
• RESTful API integration, JSON, XML, OAuth, API keys, JWT, API testing tools.
• SQL query development for relational and analytical databases.
• Python, Java or Groovy scripting (supporting skill).
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Collibra or Attacama, Power BI or Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks.
