Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Linux & DevOps

About the role

Schneider Electric is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to keep critical business infrastructure running securely, reliably and efficiently. You will work on modern, container‑based platforms and help maintain and grow the company’s Linux environment while gradually expanding into broader DevOps responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve critical Linux infrastructure, including the GitHub Enterprise Server appliance (upgrades, backups, disaster recovery).
• Extend and support the observability stack (Grafana, Zabbix) – creating dashboards, alerting rules and new integrations.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Bash or Python to reduce manual work.
• Support Windows infrastructure alongside the Linux team and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Participate in incident response, document systems and runbooks, and share knowledge across the team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience administering Linux servers (CentOS or similar) in production.
• Familiarity with containerised applications (Docker) and their lifecycle management.
• Comfortable working with monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana.
• Ability to work independently, research unfamiliar systems and make sound decisions.
• Willingness to broaden skills to Windows tooling (e.g., ConfigMgr) and contribute to incident response.
