Area Sales Manager – Balkans

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead sales activities for the Oil, Gas & Petrochem sectors across the Balkan region, managing agents and distributors while driving growth of IMI’s portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Support and expand IMI business within and beyond the assigned territory.
• Drive portfolio selling of IMI products and achieve budget targets and sales KPIs.
• Build strong customer relationships, identify problems and propose IMI solutions.
• Visit customers and agents 3‑4 days a week to provide active sales support.
• Develop and execute sub‑regional agent strategies to increase sales.
• Activate dormant plants and replace competitor products with IMI offerings.
• Lead contract negotiations ensuring compliance with company policies and profitability goals.
• Ensure adherence to all IMI processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Technical (Engineering) or commercial (Economics/Business) university degree, MBA/BA optional.
• Professional experience in industrial sales of high‑end, engineered‑to‑order products.
• Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in valve applications, flow control or process industries.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Structured, self‑driven, organized and highly reliable towards customers.
