Kids & Equipment Buying Manager

About the role

Sport Vision, the leader of sports retail in the Balkans with over 600 stores and 6,000 employees, is hiring a JD Kids & Equipment Buying Manager in Belgrade. The role manages and develops the buying strategy for the Kids & Equipment category within the JD franchise, aiming for an optimal product assortment, strong supplier partnerships, competitive prices and good availability, in order to maximise sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category-specific buying strategies aligned with business objectives, market trends and customer preferences, and define and select products to optimise the assortment.
• Identify and select suppliers, build strategic partnerships, negotiate commercial terms and ensure competitive pricing, quality and a reliable supply chain.
• Manage the full purchasing process, including supplier selection, negotiations, orders, contracts and commercial administration.
• Forecast demand with sales teams, plan stock levels, optimise inventory turnover and reduce excess and obsolete stock.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, find cost-saving opportunities and consolidate suppliers where possible.
• Analyse purchasing trends, market developments and competitors, and produce regular reports and dashboards.
• Improve procurement processes, ensure compliance with legislation and company policies, and promote ethical sourcing and sustainability.
• Share knowledge, guide team members and collaborate with other departments.

Required profile

• University degree (level VII) and at least 3 years of experience in similar positions.
• Advanced English and a valid Category B driving licence.
• Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills, and excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Results-oriented, flexible and customer-focused.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite.
