Assistant Waiter

About the role

Petra Hotel Belgrade is seeking an Assistant Waiter to join its pre‑opening service team. You will help create a warm, attentive, and professional experience for every guest across the restaurant, bar, breakfast, and event areas.

Key responsibilities

• Support waiters and the wider service team in welcoming and serving guests in line with hotel standards.
• Prepare and organise the restaurant, service stations, tables, cutlery, glassware and other equipment before, during and after service.
• Assist with the proper service of food and beverages, ensuring attention to detail, presentation and cleanliness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations and work areas throughout service.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide timely, discreet support for a personalised experience.
• Coordinate with waiters, kitchen, bar and other team members during daily operations.
• Replenish supplies, polish equipment, clear tables and ready the venue for the next service.
• Support the team across restaurant, bar, breakfast, events and other hotel F&B operations.

Required profile

• A genuine interest in hospitality and a willingness to learn and develop within a hotel environment.
• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, café or similar hospitality setting.
• Friendly, responsible and professional approach.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts and follow operational standards.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of English.
