Back End Developer

About the role

SiGMA Group is building a brand‑new eLearning platform and needs a Back‑End Developer to design and implement the serverless core services. You will work in an early‑stage, fast‑moving team to deliver scalable, secure and high‑performance APIs that power the platform for global users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain serverless back‑end components using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design, implement and optimise AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS and S3.
• Create and fine‑tune database schemas, data models and queries for reliability and performance.
• Integrate internal and third‑party systems through RESTful APIs, messaging services and other data exchange mechanisms.
• Write clean, well‑tested code, participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production and development issues across back‑end services.
• Monitor application performance, reliability and security, and drive continuous improvements.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, technical design and the evolution of engineering best practices.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Back‑End Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration within agile, cross‑functional teams.
