Commercial Traineeship Program – European Locations

About the role

Join ADM’s two‑year Commercial Traineeship Program and develop a career in agricultural commodity trading across Europe. The first year focuses on learning the fundamentals of trading, transportation and processing markets, while the second year offers greater autonomy and exposure to market decisions at a different European location.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day commercial activities in commodity trading, logistics and risk management.
• Assist with contract execution, legal documentation and financial analysis of trading decisions.
• Collaborate with mentors from the Trading team to deliver real‑world projects.
• Travel or relocate within Europe to gain experience in multiple ADM business units.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Business or Agricultural studies.
• Strong interest in agri‑commodity trading and a drive for success.
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and willing to relocate within Europe.
• Valid EU work permit.

Required skills

• Understanding of contract law, logistics, risk management and financial implications of trading.
