Data Engineer – Cloud‑Native Pipelines & AI‑Assisted Development

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to help build our next‑gen platform in a write‑first, spec‑driven culture that leverages AI tooling to turn specifications into code. You will work in a collaborative, cross‑functional team delivering scalable pipelines, robust infrastructure, and analytics‑ready datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable data pipelines using AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, QuickSight, Iceberg and RDS.
• Develop ELT workflows and model datasets for analytics, reporting and operational insights.
• Implement data quality checks, observability, and documentation for owned pipelines.
• Automate processes and apply CI/CD practices to improve data delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on Data Engineer or BI Developer with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem‑solver who enjoys turning raw data into actionable insights.
• Team player with clear communication skills and a strong sense of ownership.
• Passionate about data quality, continuous improvement and modern data‑engineering practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling and query optimization.
• Experience with AWS data services (Redshift, S3, Glue, QuickSight, Iceberg, RDS).
• Hands‑on with data integration/orchestration tools (Airbyte, Apache Flink, Apache Airflow).
• Python for developing, automating and testing data workflows.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
