Data Solutions Architect

About the role

Merkle, a dentsu company, is looking for a Data Solutions Architect in Belgrade. You will help design and implement data architecture, working with business stakeholders, business analysts and data engineers to define data models, and act as the technical single point of contact for stakeholders including C-level executives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data architecture and data models, translating business goals and use cases into technical solutions for sales, finance, e-commerce, manufacturing/logistics, banking and CRM.
• Drive architecture of enterprise analytics and customer platforms using cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP) and BI platforms such as Fabric and Snowflake.
• Define data mappings and specifications with business and data analysts, and supervise data engineers, data scientists and BI consultants.
• Propose technical solutions and effort estimates to support pre-sales.
• Apply governance methods aligned with enterprise architecture, security and infrastructure standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology-related field.
• 3+ years designing and building data solutions, including CRM data modelling and large-scale data lake or warehouse solutions.
• 5+ years of experience with entity relationship models and data modelling techniques.
• Good business acumen in sales, finance, e-commerce, manufacturing/logistics, banking or CRM.

Required skills

• Data concepts such as Data Mesh, Data Lake, Master Data Management, data quality, Lambda architectures and streaming processing.
• Architecture methodologies and tools (draw.io, Spark EA, Confluence, ArchiMate, TOGAF).
• Preferred: SQL, CI/CD, Python/Java/Scala/C++, relational and NoSQL databases, data modelling tools (ER/Studio, Orbus, Erwin, Power Designer), metadata management, Agile (Scrum, SAFe), Architecture Review Board experience, and French.
