General Manager - Custody & Compliance

About the role

GoMining is seeking a General Manager to lead its Custody & Compliance business line, responsible for the safe, fast, and reliable movement of customer funds. The role combines business, product and operational ownership, overseeing strategy, P&L, and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Custody & Compliance function end‑to‑end, defining strategy, roadmap, budget and delivering business results.
• Define and track key metrics for deposits, withdrawals, KYC, fraud and customer activation.
• Improve onboarding speed, conversion and overall customer experience around money movement.
• Build financial and operational models to guide data‑driven decisions.
• Collaborate directly with C‑level stakeholders on strategy and priorities.
• Manage custody infrastructure and relationships with custody providers.
• Own deposit and withdrawal flows, enhancing processing speed, reliability and success rates.
• Implement and scale KYC, AML and Travel Rule compliance operations, including case management and escalation processes.
• Develop fraud‑prevention guardrails, monitor loss rates and create data‑driven detection methods.
• Negotiate commercial and operational terms with providers and reduce dependency where possible.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leader overseeing a business direction and product portfolio.
• Strong track record in custody, payments or financial‑services environments.
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams, budgets and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Ability to work closely with legal, risk and C‑level executives.
• Data‑driven decision‑making mindset.
