Head of DevOps

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of DevOps to own the reliability, quality, and consistency of our software delivery lifecycle. This senior engineering leadership position will focus on building repeatable, scalable deployment processes and strengthening operational stability across multiple product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the end‑to‑end CI/CD strategy for all product lines and client engagements.
• Establish deployment governance standards, including environment promotion, release approvals, rollback procedures and change‑management.
• Develop self‑service tools and processes that improve reliability of shared‑resource delivery models.
• Implement and continuously improve observability practices such as logging, monitoring, alerting and tracing.
• Collaborate with Mobile, Web, Backend and QA leads to embed quality controls early in the development lifecycle.
• Oversee infrastructure‑as‑code, environment provisioning and secrets/configuration management across client environments.
• Lead root‑cause analyses of deployment and production incidents and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Manage, mentor and grow the DevOps team, including direct reports and engineers on shared projects.
• Own DevOps hiring, tooling strategy and capacity planning to scale with new client engagements.
• Provide technical partnership to client teams on deployment, infrastructure and operational topics.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering functions in a matrixed organization.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross‑functional technology leads and client stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset focused on improving delivery reliability, operational stability and governance.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Knowledge of deployment governance, change‑management and rollback procedures.
• Expertise in observability practices (logging, monitoring, alerting, tracing).
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management concepts.
