Junior System Administrator

About the role

BVP Serbia, an AI-driven security solutions provider based in Belgrade, is hiring a Junior System Administrator. The role covers the maintenance, setup and lifecycle management of IT equipment, with a focus on hardware upkeep, OS configuration and asset tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, clean and service PCs, laptops and peripheral devices to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Reinstall, upgrade and configure operating systems in line with company security standards and best practices.
• Provision, configure and deploy new IT equipment according to internal IT policies and onboarding procedures.
• Prepare devices for onboarding, securely process equipment for offboarding and ensure proper data sanitization.
• Track IT assets, keep accurate inventory records and report regularly on asset status.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and peripheral issues promptly.
• Implement and monitor system security and compliance standards so all devices meet company policy.
• Work with IT and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve provisioning, and recommend IT equipment, software and tools.
• Maintain documentation for IT procedures, asset management and troubleshooting guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience maintaining and repairing PC, laptop and peripheral hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to IT security and compliance protocols.
• Ability to handle several equipment deployments at once, with excellent organization and documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to preventing IT issues.

Required skills

• Windows, Linux and macOS installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Hardware maintenance and repair.
