Ocean Freight Sales Representative

About the role

Orbit Streem is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Sales Representative to join its Zemun office. You will drive new business development and nurture existing client relationships across Europe and the Balkans, focusing on full‑container‑load (FCL) and less‑than‑container‑load (LCL) shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow the current client base both inside and outside the cluster.
• Prospect new customers, build a qualified leads pipeline, and convert leads into billing clients.
• Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and negotiate rates and contracts with shipping lines and agents.
• Assist in tender preparation and client presentations.
• Handle administrative tasks, including sales analysis and weekly reporting to the department head.
• Monitor competitors and market trends to identify opportunities.
• Manage the sales pipeline, produce forecasts, and contribute to the department’s sales budget.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations team to ensure excellent customer service and successful shipment execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in ocean freight forwarding, with a proven record in key‑account management and new‑business development.
• Strong knowledge of FCL/LCL processes, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer‑orientation skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Transportation Management System (TMS) platforms.
