Project Manager / Trial Lead – Functional Service Provider (EMEA)

About the role

PPD is seeking a Project Manager/Trial Lead to act as the primary sponsor contact and oversee the delivery of clinical projects across the EMEA region. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison between the sponsor and PPD project team.
• Maintain escalation pathways and communication rules both internally and externally.
• Define responsibilities for secondary leads when project scope requires regional or vendor‑specific oversight.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality expectations.
• Manage financial stewardship, including contract understanding, budget alignment, and out‑of‑scope activity control.
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and drive RBQM/RESOLVE processes.
• Ensure team adherence to SOPs, ICH‑GCP, regulatory, and project‑specific requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in clinical operations management, overseeing trials with quality, timeline, and budget accountability.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, budgeting, and scope management.
• Experience driving risk identification and issue resolution in clinical projects.
