Senior Automation Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join CloudLinux’s Infrastructure team. Working remotely, you will own end‑to‑end automation solutions, collaborating with engineering, finance and security stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Turn incomplete briefs into agreed results and actionable plans, tracking cross‑team dependencies and communicating changes.
• Develop and maintain software and cloud/infrastructure API integrations, handling credentials, pagination, retries and partial failures.
• Transform billing, usage and inventory data into repeatable outputs, reconciling totals and applying allocation rules.
• Extend inventory, network‑policy and capacity automation while preserving necessary human decisions.
• Deliver changes via version‑controlled code and CI, ensuring safe releases, testing recovery and diagnosing failures across code, Linux, APIs, data and networking.
• Own monitoring, alerts, documentation and maintenance to enable other engineers to operate the systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software, infrastructure, platform or automation engineering.
• Strong production‑grade Python skills, software design, testing, debugging and API integration.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and solid Linux/networking fundamentals.
• Practical SQL knowledge for data validation, joins, units, periods and reconciliation.
• Experience with IaC and CI tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible.
• Proven ability to design, run and supervise coding‑agent workflows autonomously.
