Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer

About the role

Schneider Electric is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to keep critical business infrastructure running securely, reliably, and efficiently. You will work on Linux and Windows platforms, support container‑based services, and gradually expand into broader DevOps responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve critical Linux infrastructure, including the GitHub Enterprise Server appliance (upgrades, backups, disaster recovery).
• Extend and manage the observability stack (Grafana, Zabbix) – dashboards, alerts, and new integrations.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Bash or Python to reduce manual work.
• Support Windows infrastructure and related tooling (ConfigMgr) alongside the Linux team.
• Participate in CI/CD activities using GitHub Actions and contribute to incident response for critical systems.
• Document systems, processes, and runbooks to ensure knowledge continuity.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience administering Linux servers (CentOS or similar) in production.
• Familiarity with containerised applications (Docker) and their lifecycle management.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix or Grafana.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation (Bash, Python).
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate across diverse technical teams.
• Self‑starter who can research unfamiliar systems and make sound decisions independently.
