Senior Software Engineer - C++

About the role

ABBYY is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Vantage engineering team in Belgrade. You will help build and evolve cloud‑native services that power document AI capabilities such as OCR pipelines, AI skill management, and analytics infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features across the Vantage platform, including document processing pipelines and API layers.
• Write clean, well‑tested code, participate in code reviews, and champion engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, ML engineers, and other developers to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Identify improvements to existing services, reduce technical debt, and increase engineering velocity.
• Monitor cloud service health, investigate incidents, and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep expertise in C++.
• Ability to work with multiple languages, including C#/.NET.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker containerization.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
