Software Developer – Backend & Integration (Hybrid, Belgrade)

About the role

We are looking for a talented Software Developer to join our Belgrade team. You will design, develop, test and maintain robust back‑end services for internally built systems while integrating third‑party platforms. The role covers the full software development lifecycle and works in a hybrid model (3 days onsite).

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and implement new software features and services.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, improving performance and reliability.
• Develop core back‑end services for internal systems and integrate them with external platforms.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical designs.
• Investigate and resolve software issues, including root‑cause analysis.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure high‑quality, reliable code.
• Produce clear technical documentation and development artefacts.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Front‑End Developers and QA colleagues.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and professional communication in English.

Required skills

• Linux (Ubuntu) and Bash/shell scripting.
• Relational databases – MySQL (experience with non‑relational databases is a plus).
• Web servers: Apache and Tomcat.
• Containerised and cloud deployment (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Java frameworks: Spring and Hibernate.
• Unit testing and test‑driven development.
