Specialty Cook

About the role

We are looking for a Specialty Cook to join our kitchen team at our Belgrade hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high‑quality dishes in line with our standards and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, store and thaw food as required.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment.
• Cook food following recipes, quality and presentation standards, and complete the food preparation checklist.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness by tasting, smelling or piercing, and ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish.
• Serve dishes in appropriate portions and receptacles.
• Use kitchen tools and equipment safely, maintain correct temperatures, and keep the work area clean and disinfected.
• Report any product that does not meet specifications and communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies, and maintain a professional uniform and appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related culinary experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Operation of kitchen equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of food safety and temperature control.
• Ability to portion, garnish and present dishes consistently.
• Basic cleaning and sanitation procedures.
