System Engineer – Data Warehouse & Compliance

About the role

Magna is seeking a System Engineer to design, build and operate a centralized Intune Data Warehouse and to ensure continuous device compliance monitoring across the enterprise. The role combines data integration, pipeline development and reporting to support modern workplace analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate a centralized data platform for Modern Workplace reporting, integrating sources such as Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Matrix42 ITSM and Nexthink.
• Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines (ETL/ELT), schedule jobs, handle errors and monitor operations.
• Create and optimise SQL‑based data models, views and custom queries for operational reporting.
• Automate data extraction using Microsoft Graph API, PowerShell and Python scripts.
• Build and maintain Power BI datasets and dashboards, defining KPIs and managing access.
• Own device‑compliance monitoring (disk space, BitLocker, AV, M365 app versions, patch health) and coordinate remediation with IT teams.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and auditability; provide 2nd/3rd‑level support for reporting and compliance topics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent technical college education).
• 2–3 years of experience in endpoint‑management analytics/reporting, preferably with Microsoft Intune.

Required skills

• Strong SQL skills (querying, performance tuning, data modelling).
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or comparable ETL tools.
• Power BI expertise (data modelling, DAX, dashboard design, row‑level security).
• Scripting/automation using PowerShell and/or Python.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Graph API, Entra ID (Azure AD) concepts and app registrations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, device compliance metrics and endpoint telemetry.
