Talent Acquisition Specialist (maternity cover)

About the role

Join Ahold Delhaize’s HR team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist on an 18‑month maternity cover contract. You will own the full recruitment lifecycle for permanent corporate positions, shaping teams that drive the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for permanent corporate roles, partnering with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners.
• Analyse business needs, contribute to workforce planning and develop recruitment strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Source, attract, assess and select candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and strategic sourcing techniques, focusing on the EU talent market.
• Conduct interviews, provide recommendations and advise hiring managers throughout the selection process.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines and relationships with external recruitment partners.
• Oversee administrative processes for hires, ensure seamless onboarding and monitor recruitment performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience as a corporate recruiter, preferably in an international environment.
• Proven success hiring for diverse permanent roles.
• Deep knowledge of talent attraction, direct sourcing techniques and recruitment marketing.
• Strong process‑management capabilities and ability to advise senior stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
• Proactive self‑starter with excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
