Analytics Engineer

About the role

Daon is seeking an Analytics Engineer to expand its Data Analytics function beyond traditional Business Intelligence. The role will unlock internal data for product and business leaders, enabling strategic decisions that drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain core business and SaaS product metrics, focusing on product usage, customer behavior, and revenue analytics.
• Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines to support analytics across finance, product, sales, and leadership.
• Refactor and optimize dbt projects, streamline model structures, and enhance semantic layers.
• Lead migration and cleanup of legacy data sources and pipelines to reduce technical debt and improve reliability.
• Manage and optimize the Snowflake environment, including access controls, cost management, performance tuning, and table maintenance.
• Support analytics models for CRM and go‑to‑market reporting, including HubSpot pipeline and activity data.
• Document data models, pipelines, and key metrics to enable consistent reporting and self‑service analytics.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new analytics technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data engineering or analytics, with a strong independent work ethic.
• Ability to communicate data‑driven insights to business stakeholders.
