Business Development Manager – Oncology Market Launch in Serbia

About the role

GenePlanet, a global leader in preventive genetic testing, is seeking a Business Development Manager to launch and grow its new oncology screening product in Serbia. You will act as the bridge between cutting‑edge scientific innovation and the local medical ecosystem, building high‑trust partnerships with healthcare leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the go‑to‑market launch of a novel cancer‑screening test in Serbia, from positioning to commercial rollout.
• Establish and manage relationships with private clinics, hospitals, laboratories, general practitioners and key opinion leaders.
• Co‑develop and implement a long‑term growth strategy for the Serbian market.
• Execute annual plans, meet defined revenue and profitability targets within agreed budgets.
• Conduct trainings and educational activities to ensure strong understanding of GenePlanet’s products and services.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and proactively identify new business opportunities.

Required profile

• University degree in a natural‑science field (biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacy, medicine, or similar).
• 5+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably in medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical or diagnostics sectors.
• Established network within Serbia’s private healthcare sector and among general practitioners.
• Proven ability to build networks and close deals with strong selling, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Strategic thinker with hands‑on implementation capability.
• Self‑driven, results‑oriented and able to work independently while engaging key market stakeholders.
• Fluent in Serbian and English.
