Cloud DevOps Engineer

About the role

Join Merkle’s Cloud Engineering team to design, build and operate scalable cloud environments for global brands. You will ensure high availability, security and cost‑effectiveness while driving automation across the software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on leading providers, ensuring high availability, reliability, scalability and security.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep or similar tools.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab or Jenkins.
• Automate build, test, deployment, patching, updates and backup processes.
• Monitor performance, optimise resource utilisation and manage logging, alerting and incident response.
• Implement disaster recovery, backup solutions and support internal and external customers.
• Apply security best practices and support compliance with industry standards.

Required skills

• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep.
• CI/CD platforms: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
• Monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
• Automation scripting and configuration management.
