Coordinator for UN Participation at EXPO 2027

About the role

The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Serbia is looking for a Coordinator to lead the UN’s participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade. The role will oversee the planning, development and delivery of the UN Pavilion, ensuring that the exhibition showcases the UN’s values, the Sustainable Development Goals and multilateral cooperation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the dedicated UN EXPO team and manage the overall engagement of the UN system in EXPO 2027.
• Develop and implement the programme, events and exhibits for the UN Pavilion, aligning content with the SDGs and the UN’s strategic priorities.
• Liaise with the UN Country Team, national counterparts, EXPO organizers and external partners to secure resources, logistics and approvals.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports and ensure timely delivery of all deliverables.
• Facilitate communication and advocacy activities to engage national and international audiences.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating large‑scale international events or programmes.
• Strong understanding of the United Nations system, the Sustainable Development Goals and multilateral cooperation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Serbian is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and handle complex logistical arrangements.
