Data Engineer

About the role

HSO is seeking a proactive Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise modern data platforms for its clients. You will work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure services and contemporary engineering practices to deliver scalable, secure and high‑performing data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and related Azure technologies.
• Build, optimise and monitor data pipelines with Python, PySpark, SQL and Fabric.
• Create and support ETL/ELT processes, data integration workflows and orchestration solutions.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources and implement data models for reporting, analytics and AI workloads.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security and compliance across platforms.
• Collaborate with consultants, architects and client stakeholders to deliver business‑driven solutions.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to improve productivity.
• Contribute to engineering standards, documentation and CI/CD deployment processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on data engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international, collaborative environment.
