Data Science Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Data Science Manager to lead and expand our data science team across product, marketing and performance. Reporting to the Head of Data, you will set the quality bar for modelling and experimentation while translating business needs into clear team priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the team’s output across verticals and align the roadmap with business goals.
• Bridge data science and stakeholders, translating needs into priorities and communicating results to non‑technical audiences.
• Raise and maintain quality standards by reviewing models, experimental designs and causal‑inference work, and stepping in to pair‑program or correct when needed.
• Hire, coach and develop data scientists, managing performance, compensation and career paths.
• Champion rigorous A/B testing, quasi‑experimental methods and causal thinking across product and performance tracks.

Required profile

• Hands‑on data science experience with a proven record of delivering models, experiments or analyses that are used by other teams.
• Deep expertise in at least one domain such as recommendation systems, experimental design, customer segmentation, churn prediction, fraud detection or CRM analytics.
• Strong statistical, supervised and unsupervised machine‑learning and causal‑inference knowledge.
• Demonstrated leadership – tech‑lead, mentor or hiring interviewer; formal people‑management experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to give precise technical feedback and represent the team to senior non‑technical stakeholders.
