Digital PR Executive

About the role

As a Digital PR Executive at Punchy PR you will run end‑to‑end campaigns, turning ideas into stories, writing press materials, building media lists, pitching journalists and securing coverage in top publications. The role is writing‑heavy, offers real ownership and direct work with the founder.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute PR campaigns for 3‑5 clients, delivering a high volume of placements each month.
• Research journalists, build targeted media lists and pitch tailored stories.
• Write and edit press releases, pitches and other press materials.
• Track coverage, report results and analyse impact on SEO and traffic.
• Stay up‑to‑date with news, industry trends and competitor activity to spot new hooks.

Required profile

• Excellent written English – clear, punchy and free of fluff.
• Strong attention to detail; facts, names and numbers must be correct.
• Self‑driven, accountable and comfortable working full‑time with 3‑4 hours overlap with US Eastern time.
• Confident to voice opinions and push back when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI writing tools and ability to spot inaccuracies.
• Experience using journalist request platforms such as HARO and Qwoted.
• Basic understanding of SEO and link‑building concepts.

What we offer

• Salary $1,500‑$2,000 per month, paid monthly as an independent contractor.
• Fully remote, long‑term full‑time role.
• 14 days paid time off (rising to 20 days after 6 months) plus local public holidays and 5 paid sick days.
