IT Network Engineer

About the role

Lidl is seeking an IT Network Engineer to manage and optimize its LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructures, ensuring reliable network communication across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VPN environments.
• Monitor network communication devices, diagnose and resolve issues.
• Work with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Stablenet, Cacti, and others.
• Develop and oversee network communication technology projects based on Cisco, Huawei, and Fortinet equipment.
• Configure and manage FortiGate and Barracuda security systems.
• Monitor, administer, and configure UPS, climate control, and passive network infrastructure in server rooms.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for projects, inventory, and licenses.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar network engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience with LAN, WAN, firewall, VPN, and SD‑WAN technologies.
• Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Experience with Cisco, Huawei, and Fortinet solutions.
• Understanding of L2VPN, L3VPN, and MPLS technologies.
• Preferable experience with passive network infrastructure, UPS systems, server‑room climate control, Cisco VoIP, Zscaler, Ekahau, and ability to create Python scripts.
• Excellent command of English.
• Valid B‑category driver’s license.
