Legal Associate – In‑house Counsel (Belgrade)

About the role

Huawei Europe is seeking a Legal Associate to support its operations in Belgrade, Serbia. You will ensure compliance with local laws and internal policies while providing legal advice across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with Serbian legislation and Huawei’s internal legal policies.
• Prepare corporate governance documents, including board and shareholders’ resolutions and manage registry formalities.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts such as sales agreements, NDAs, DPAs, MOUs, SOWs and SLAs.
• Review privacy policies, product pages, warranty terms and finance documents for legal conformity.
• Provide day‑to‑day advice on employment law matters.
• Research industry‑specific regulations (telecom, IPR, consumer protection, EU law, etc.) and support implementation of compliance measures.
• Coordinate with external counsel on specialised legal issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and report to the General Counsel.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of in‑house or law‑firm experience.
• Law degree (LL.B or equivalent).
• Strong background in commercial and civil law.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to handle routine and complex legal matters and deliver clear business‑focused advice.
• Optimistic, precise, patient with good communication skills.
