Monitoring Engineer (24/7 Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a Monitoring Engineer to join the operations team responsible for overseeing critical production services. You will work in a 24/7 environment, handling alerts, incidents and operational changes to ensure service stability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor critical production services and actively track alerts and operational data.
• Work a rotating shift pattern (2 day shifts, 2 days off, 2 night shifts, 2 days off) covering 08:00–20:00 and 20:00–08:00 (UTC+3).
• Detect incidents, perform initial diagnostics, register them accurately and escalate according to procedures and SLAs.
• Take over and hand over shifts, reviewing active alerts, tickets, open incidents, planned work and recent changes.
• Coordinate with team leads and relevant teams throughout the shift.
• Execute operational tasks such as deployments, rollbacks and other planned production activities.
• Prepare reports, data exports and support routine operational processes.
• Follow through on tasks from management and product teams to ensure planned work is completed.

Required profile

• Experience with monitoring systems or technical support in banking or fintech.
• Understanding of 24/7 production environments and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive issue identification and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Good command of English and Russian.
