Operator / Assembler – RF Microwave Amplifiers

About the role

The General Assembly Operator reports to the Operations Manager and works in the production area assembling RF microwave amplifiers, cable assemblies and related sub‑assemblies. The role includes both manual and surface‑mount work on PCB and microwave modules.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble combiner/dividers and sub‑assemblies according to Milmega drawings and RF specifications.
• Manufacture cable assemblies following wiring schedules and circuit diagrams.
• Build complete RF and microwave amplifier systems, including mechanical construction and electrical wiring.
• Perform surface‑mount manufacturing and module substrating.
• Assist in prototype production based on engineering sketches and instructions.
• Follow a structured training plan to develop production techniques.

Required profile

• Experience in a production environment with high‑standard assembly and soldering processes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical assembly drawings.
• Proven problem‑solving skills in a manufacturing setting.
• IPC‑A‑610 or similar qualification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of continuous‑improvement processes is a plus.
• ONC or equivalent qualification in electrical and electronic principles.
