R&D Mechanical Engineer Internship

About the role

Aumovio, a spin-off of the former Continental Automotive sector, is looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer Intern to join its engineering team in Novi Sad, Serbia. The internship lets you apply your mechanical engineering knowledge in a professional setting, working alongside experienced engineers on projects that contribute to the company's success.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and analysing mechanical components and systems using CAD software
• Interpret and create technical drawings and engineering blueprints under supervision
• Carry out research and analysis to support engineering projects and design improvements
• Take part in developing and testing prototypes and mechanical solutions
• Document design specifications, calculations and project findings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems
• Help prepare technical reports and engineering documentation, and keep project files organised
• Share ideas during team meetings and design reviews, and follow engineering standards, safety protocols and quality procedures

Required profile

• Final-year student of a Mechanical Engineering programme
• Strong sense of ownership and proactivity, eager to learn and grow
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good organisational skills and effective written and verbal English
• Team player

Required skills

• CAD software such as CATIA, CREO or SolidWorks, or equivalent
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, mechanics and thermodynamics
• Ability to read, interpret and create technical drawings and blueprints
• Preferred: FEA software or simulation tools, knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM, previous internship or project experience, familiarity with engineering standards and technical documentation
