Salesforce Developer – SFDC Engineer

About the role

Paychex is looking for a Salesforce Developer (SFDC Engineer) to execute the Salesforce backlog and support the sales and client service teams. You will work across business units, translate functional requirements into technical solutions, and stay current with emerging Salesforce technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning Web Components.
• Participate in design decisions, provide status updates, and resolve deployment issues.
• Support deployments using tools such as Gearset and manage version control with Git.
• Stay up‑to‑date with new Salesforce offerings, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of Salesforce development experience (or 4 years of OOP development plus 2 years Salesforce).
• Experience working in Agile SDLC teams and familiarity with Agile principles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.

Required skills

• Apex, Apex triggers, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Force.com API.
• Lightning Web Components (LWC) development.
• Git‑based version control and Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Gearset).
• Experience with Communities, Service/Sales Cloud, Einstein, and test classes.
• Integration of Salesforce with enterprise applications and third‑party products.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security model.
