Senior Buyer

About the role

Nu Instruments Ltd, a sub‑business of Spectro Analytical, is seeking a Senior Buyer to join its Subotica, Serbia team. You will own the sourcing, supplier management and cost‑control processes for a range of engineered components, working closely with engineering and production.

Key responsibilities

• Source and manage suppliers for machined and fabricated components, cable assemblies and electronic units worldwide.
• Interpret technical drawings to select the most suitable manufacturing route and supplier.
• Lead negotiations on cost, lead time and performance.
• Manage MRP to ensure continuity of supply for assigned suppliers.
• Resolve supply and import issues quickly and effectively.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a technical or scientific manufacturing purchasing role.
• Confident reading and understanding of engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of machining and/or fabrication processes.
• Commercially aware, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
