Senior Commerce Consultant

About the role

Merkle, a dentsu company, is looking for a Senior Commerce Consultant to help global brands design and implement end‑to‑end digital commerce solutions. You will work with cross‑functional teams to translate business goals into actionable product strategies and guide clients through complex digital transformations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions, gather requirements and define KPIs for commerce projects.
• Design customer journeys, recommend platform features, integrations and customisations.
• Translate business goals into product roadmaps and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with solution architects, UX/UI designers and developers to ensure successful implementation.
• Provide expertise on catalog structure, checkout flow, personalisation and ERP/CRM/OMS integrations.
• Act as primary client contact, support pre‑sales activities and mentor junior consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in digital commerce consulting or similar roles.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of enterprise commerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce (Magento), Shopify Plus or commercetools.
• Experience with headless commerce architectures, APIs and micro‑services.
• Proficiency with agile tools like JIRA, Confluence and design tools such as Figma.
