Senior Delphi Developer

About the role

FIS is looking for a Senior Delphi Developer to work on its Prophet risk management platform, used worldwide by financial services firms to model companies' financial business. The Prophet Professional product is an actuarial model development environment where models are edited and updated using Delphi XE3 or later. You will join a team of 15 developers, working alongside two other Delphi developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop most of your work in Delphi, with some work in C++
• Work on the Prophet Professional product, including model editing and keeping the actuarial model up to date with current modelling practices and technology improvements
• Use C#, C++, PowerShell and possibly expand into them further

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development or equivalent
• 3+ years of recent commercial Delphi experience
• 2+ years of C++ software development
• Good degree in a numerate discipline, preferably software engineering, with good numerical intuition and creative problem solving
• Experienced software engineer keen to gain experience in actuarial calculations

Required skills

• Object-oriented design and development practices
• Full software development lifecycle
• Desirable: Delphi XE3 or later, C#.NET, C++/STL.NET-Delphi interop, Delphi component development, WPF, COM, SQL, SQL Server or similar relational database, multi-threading, UML/design patterns, XML
• Desirable: commercial experience in finance/insurance and exposure to financial concepts and mathematics
