Senior Technology Business Consultant – Balance Sheet Manager

About the role

FIS is looking for a Senior Technology Business Consultant to implement its Balance Sheet Manager (formerly Ambit BancWare and Ambit Focus) solution for clients, mostly banks. The role covers the full implementation lifecycle, from installation and data mapping to configuration, testing, training and support. It is a remote project role, with occasional on-site support requested.

Key responsibilities

• Support the full implementation lifecycle, including system installation, client data mapping and validation, configuration, testing, reconciliation and delivery of financial risk reports across ALM, liquidity risk, interest rate risk and regulatory reporting.
• Work with Treasury, ALM, Risk, Finance and IT stakeholders to turn business and regulatory requirements into configurations, models, calculations and reports.
• Work independently in client projects, solve customer problems, provide training and perform system upgrades.
• Prepare functional specifications, solution designs, implementation documentation and client-facing materials.
• Keep up with risk management approaches under regulatory requirements, focusing on ALM, liquidity risk and market risk.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, Sales and Support teams to improve the BSM solution.

Required profile

• University degree in business informatics, economics or business mathematics.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in risk management or treasury (ALM) in a bank or a specialist/IT consulting firm; CFA or FRM is a big plus.
• Fluent English, written and spoken; fluency in another European language is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.

Required skills

• Experience or willingness to work with databases, SQL, system configurations, interfaces, data mapping and application environments.
• Prior experience with relational databases (SQL, etc.).
• Experience with Balance Sheet Manager or similar ALM and financial risk solutions is an advantage.
