Senior SEM Specialist – Google Ads (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior SEM Specialist with deep, hands‑on experience in Google Ads to manage and grow client accounts for a fast‑growing performance‑marketing agency. The role starts part‑time (≈20 hrs/week) and is expected to transition to full‑time, with potential to evolve into a Team Lead position.

Key responsibilities

• Build, manage, optimise and scale Google Ads campaigns across Search, Performance Max, Display and Shopping.
• Analyse performance data to improve ROAS, CPA, conversion rates and overall account efficiency.
• Conduct keyword research, search‑query analysis and account restructuring.
• Develop bidding strategies and recommend budget allocation.
• Identify growth opportunities through testing and data‑driven experimentation.
• Monitor campaigns daily, troubleshoot issues and make proactive optimisation decisions.
• Communicate campaign performance, strategy and recommendations directly to clients.
• Present results in clear, client‑friendly reports and participate in performance reviews.
• Collaborate with designers, media buyers and account managers; mentor junior SEM specialists as the team expands.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of real‑world SEM experience, primarily on Google Ads.
• Proven ability to manage significant advertising budgets while focusing on profitability.
• Strong client‑facing skills: comfortable discussing strategy, performance and recommendations.
• Self‑starter who can work independently in a fully remote environment.
