Senior Software Engineer – Core Databases

About the role

Fivetran is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its core team in Novi Sad, focusing on the design and implementation of the high‑performance extract‑load‑transform system that powers its data integration platform.

Key responsibilities

• Deeply understand Fivetran’s architecture to drive practical system improvements.
• Contribute to roadmap planning and implementation of new features.
• Collaborate with a small core team and broader stakeholders across the product lifecycle.
• Handle requirements, design, prototyping, coding, code review, release, and monitoring.
• Review and approve pull requests and take ownership of product quality.

Required profile

• Execution‑oriented mindset that balances innovation with delivery speed.
• Ability to design and code intuitive, maintainable systems.
• Experience working with high‑impact software teams where decisions have cascading effects.
• Comfort with both modern and legacy development environments.
