Site Contract Lead - EMEA Remote

About the role

Syneos Health is hiring a Site Contract Lead for the EMEA region, working remotely. The role manages the negotiation of clinical study agreements (CTAs) on a study level and drives their finalization and execution, including contractual terms, financial attachments and investigator grant budgets, in collaboration with a global team of site contract negotiators for awarded projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee CTA negotiations and escalate out-of-parameter budgetary and contractual queries to sponsor decision-makers across all regions of study conduct
• Act as first-line subject matter expert for CTA elements on assigned studies and advise stakeholders on issue resolution
• Plan the contract execution strategy for each study, coordinating with the study team so it aligns with study start-up plans
• Prepare site contractual templates, including payment terms, and negotiate fair market value of investigator budgets and payment terms with sites
• Maintain document status reports, update department tools and systems, and coordinate communications between the study team and the global site contract team
• Work with legal, finance and clinical operations to explain legal and budgetary issues
• Support business unit and organization help desk and other defined pathways to resolve and deescalate issues

Required profile

• BS degree in life sciences, a health-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Preferred: CRO or pharmaceutical industry experience and clinical trial expertise (e.g., Study Coordinator, CRA, pharmacy, nursing, healthcare administration) or site start-up experience
• Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, drug development and clinical project management procedures
• Strong leadership, mentoring, attention to detail and ability to work independently

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project and Outlook
• Good presentation, documentation and interpersonal skills
