Staff DevOps Engineer

About the role

Fivetran is seeking a high‑performance Staff DevOps Engineer to join its Site Reliability Engineering team. You will work closely with engineering, product, support and sales teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of the Fivetran Data Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain availability, capacity and throughput of production infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed reliability best practices into the product roadmap.
• Prioritize and resolve critical bugs identified by support or sales.
• Automate scalable deployments and ensure artifact deployment across environments.
• Proactively monitor infrastructure vulnerabilities and work with security to remediate.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience building and operating SaaS platforms at scale.
• Deep expertise with managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, ArgoCD).
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash/Shell scripting (Java a plus).
• Solid background in Linux system administration and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts such as NAT gateways, VPNs, PrivateLink and Private Service Connect.
