Technical Service Engineer – Surface Treatment (Serbia)

About the role

As a Technical Service Engineer you will support SurTec’s customers in Serbia, helping them optimise surface‑treatment processes and resolve technical challenges on‑site. You will work closely with the regional team in Central Eastern Europe and act as the bridge between customer needs and our product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customer production sites across Serbia to troubleshoot and solve technical issues in surface treatment.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, stabilise chemical processes and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for new products and technologies and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Provide hands‑on assistance in production environments and update product specification cards, presentations and related documentation.
• Collaborate with the Central Eastern Europe regional team and ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical technology or a related engineering field.
• Experience in technical support or application engineering for surface‑treatment processes (electroplating, metal pre‑treatment) is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset, independent and solution‑oriented working style.
• Good English communication skills and excellent report‑writing ability.
• Willingness to travel within Serbia and a valid driver’s licence.
