Commercial Specialist – Technical Preparation Engineer

About the role

The Commercial Specialist (Technical Preparation Engineer) will support the preparation and execution of construction projects by analysing documentation, sourcing subcontractors, and developing tender offers. Working closely with the project manager, the role ensures accurate cost estimates and reliable supplier selections for residential, commercial and infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project plans, bills of quantities and other documentation to produce cost estimates.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers independently.
• Prepare and review technical tender documentation and draft work execution plans.
• Create offers and draft contracts for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop specifications and preliminary measurements as directed by the manager.
• Participate in supplier and subcontractor negotiations to secure optimal terms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar commercial or technical preparation role within construction.
• Advanced written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Project).
• Strong AutoCAD skills for reviewing and preparing technical drawings.
