Engineering Manager - Team Monetisation

About the role

Pet Media Group is scaling its Monetisation team and needs an Engineering Manager to lead a group of full‑stack engineers. This hands‑on leadership position combines people development with technical ownership of pricing, checkout, payment processing, subscriptions, product activation and escrow systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineers through 1:1s, hiring and career development.
• Own delivery for the Monetisation domain, ensuring predictable, high‑quality releases aligned with revenue goals.
• Set technical direction, guide architecture and unblock complex problems while staying hands‑on.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to prioritise work across VAS, payments and escrow.
• Champion AI‑assisted development, encouraging the use of LLMs and AI tools in daily workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing and growing software engineering teams.
• Strong engineering background with a critical, open mindset.
• Enthusiasm for AI‑enabled development practices.
• Experience in payments, fintech or related domains is highly desirable.
