Identity & Access Management Engineer

About the role

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies are looking for an Identity & Access Management Engineer to operate and continuously improve their cloud‑based enterprise identity platform. You will own day‑to‑day platform health, automate lifecycle processes and support security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and administer the identity platform tenant, including policy tuning, group and rule management, MFA and adaptive access configuration.
• Onboard and maintain SSO integrations (SAML/OIDC) and SCIM provisioning for the enterprise application portfolio.
• Build and maintain joiner/mover/leaver automation using identity workflow tooling and HR‑driven provisioning.
• Provide L2/L3 support for identity‑related helpdesk tickets and resolve issues within SLA.
• Support incident response for account compromise, suspicious authentication activity, privilege misuse and outages.
• Monitor system logs, define alerts for authentication anomalies, policy drift and integration failures.
• Conduct quarterly user access reviews and govern non‑human identities such as service accounts and API principals.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise identity platforms and cloud‑based IAM solutions.
• Ability to automate manual access processes and create auditable workflows.
• Experience handling L2/L3 support and security incident response.
• Familiarity with access governance and periodic access review cycles.
