Import Logistics Specialist

About the role

METRO is looking for an Import Logistics Specialist who will ensure precise and timely import operations across its Serbian network. You will work closely with logistics providers, internal teams, and the central warehouse to keep the supply chain compliant and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end import activities for assigned suppliers and shipments.
• Coordinate international transportation, customs clearance, and final delivery with logistics partners.
• Prepare, validate and file import documentation, permits, and cost calculations.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal procedures.
• Collaborate daily with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse Operations, Finance, suppliers and logistics partners.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve operational issues and maintain accurate import data.
• Produce operational reports and support continuous improvement of import processes.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in import, logistics, supply chain or customs operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive problem‑solver who contributes to process improvements.
• Effective communication in English (minimum B2 level).

• MS Excel
• Experience with ERP systems
