IT Security Architect

About the role

Zühlke is seeking an experienced IT Security Architect to strengthen security governance across its global IT landscape. You will serve as the central security expert, translating security requirements into practical solutions and ensuring consistent application of security principles across systems, platforms, and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and drive security governance across IT, embedding security‑by‑design in all initiatives.
• Review architectures and solutions from a security perspective, acting as a trusted advisor and challenger.
• Manage and assess IT security risks, ensuring transparency, mitigation, and alignment with organizational standards.
• Provide security approvals and handle exceptions for non‑standard solutions, balancing risk with business needs.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Security Office and IT, translating requirements into actionable measures.
• Own IT security policies, ensuring they are defined, maintained, and effectively implemented.
• Lead and coordinate IT‑related audits (e.g., ISO 27001), including preparation, execution, and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Solid experience in IT security, preferably in architecture, engineering, or governance roles.
• Broad understanding of IT environments, including infrastructure, networking, identity & access management, and applications.
• Familiarity with security principles and standards such as ISO 27001 and general best practices.
• Experience with security governance, risk management, and compliance concepts.
