Junior Analytics Engineer

About the role

IPS®SYSTEMS is seeking a Junior Analytics Engineer to support the delivery of data‑driven solutions for Transmission and Distribution System Operators. Based in Belgrade, you will work alongside experienced engineers to transform customer asset data into actionable intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and transform data from multiple sources for analytics and calculations.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, KPIs, anomalies, and data‑quality issues.
• Assist in configuring maintenance templates, preventive, corrective, and prescriptive maintenance procedures.
• Support the creation of Power BI dashboards and analytical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop, train, validate, and deploy AI/ML models for asset performance and predictive analytics.
• Write and maintain data‑processing scripts in Python and SQL.
• Participate in Agile and Waterfall project activities, document data mappings, test cases, and results.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to customer workshops and technical discussions.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or 0‑2 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data quality and detail.
• Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall environments and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Power BI for dashboarding and reporting.
• Jira for task and project tracking.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and model lifecycle.
